Healthy Bowl of Yummy!

Like a true Indian my pantry is never out of dal (Lentils) and like a true Maharashtrian my tummy always craves for a bowl of “varan bhaat” and “tuup”! (Dal Rice and Ghee) And the 25% South Indian genes always scream RICE! But, for the past couple of days I have been trying really hard to cut down my rice consumption and go for healthier options instead. But then again, on a rainy day nothing satisfies your soul more than a bowl of garam garam Dal Rice! So on this rainy day I decided to ditch the rice and make some vegetable soup with masoor dal (Red Lentil) and served it with a crispy Bajri Khakraย (Pearl Millet Crispy “Flatbread”). All in all, it was a meal made of a steamy bowl of yummy for a very happy tummy ๐Ÿ˜‰
